Antispasmodics
Atropine derivatives
?@Buscopan (Scopolamine butylbromide injection 2% 1 ml ampule)
?ASparicon (Scopolamine butylbromide injection 2% 1 ml ampule)
See (P.27) the information on the oral preparations of scopolamine butylbromide. The injectable preparations should be used when oral administration is difficult or when severe pain occurs suddenly.
Indications: Relief of severe pain associated with urinary calculus, gallstone disease, and other gastrointestinal, biliary, and urinary diseases.
Dosage: ?@?A 10-20 mg (1/2-1 ampule) via the subcutaneous or intramuscular route.
Precautions: See (P.27) the information on the oral preparations of scopolamine butylbromide.
Storage: Protected from light at room temperature. (Note)2%1ml=20mg

Cardiotonics
Combined Cardiotonics
?@Effortil (Etilefrine HCI injection 10 mg ampule)
Etilefrine HCI enhances myocardial contractility, increases the circulating blood volume, and thereby increases blood pressure.
Indications: Emergency treatment of shock and acute hypofension.
Dosage: 0.2-1.0 ml (1/5-1 ampule) via the subcutaneous or intramuscular route.
Precautions: 1. Etilefrine HCI may cause palpitations and headache.2. Since etilefrine HCI may cause an excessive increase of the blood pressure, care should be taken to avoid overdosage.
Storage: Protected from light at room temperature.
?AMexan (Methoxamine HCI injection 10 mg 1 ml ampule)
Methoxamine HCI constricts the peripheral blood vessels and thereby increases blood pressure
Indications: Emergency treatment for hypotension.
Dosage: 10 mg (1 ampule) via the intramuscular route. Only a single dose should be used, in principle. When multiple doses are given, an interval of at least 15 minutes should be allowed between doses.
Precautions: 1. Methoxamine must not be administered to patients with heart disease, especially ischemic heart disease.
2. Methoxamine may cause palpitations, headache, and nausea.
3. Since methoxamine may cause an excessive increase of the blood pressure, care should be taken to avoid overdosage.
Storage: Protected from light at room temperature.

Diuretics
Furosemide
Lasix (Furosemide injection 1% 2 ml ampule)
Furosemide inhibits water and sodium resorption in the renal tubules, and thus increases the excretion of urine and thereby resolves edema. Also see (P.27)the information on the oral preparation of furosemide.
Indications: Decreased urine output excretion associated with renal edema, cardiac edema (congestive heart failure), hepatic edema (ascites), and acute or chronic renal failure.
Dosage: 20 mg (1 ampule) once daily via the intramuscular route.
Precautions: Furosemide may cause headache and a burning sensation.
Storage: Protected from light at room temperature. (Note) 1% 2ml=20mg

Angiotonics
Epinephrine
Bosmin (Epinephrine injection 0.1% 1 ml ampule)
Epinephrine enhances myocardial contractility and dilates the coronary arteries. It constricts the peripheral arterioles and thereby increases blood pressure. It also acts as a bronchodilator.
Indications: Drug-induced shock (treatment of first choice). Acute hypotension.
Dosage: 0.3-0.5 ml (1/3-1/2 ampule) via the subcutaneous or intramuscular route. When an adequate response is not obtained after 10 and several minutes, an additional dose of 0.3-0.5 ml should be given.
1. Great care should be taken when determining the dose of the drug.
2. Epinephrine may cause anxiety, headache, tremor, and palpitations.
Storage: Protected from light at room temperature.
